A Kizuna AI and Kafu Collaboration Track Will Be Released in September

Kizuna AI and virtual singer KAFU will release a collaboration single in September.

Kizuna AI and KAF have performed together at “DIVE XR FESTIVAL supported by Softbank,” KAF was the first guest to appear on Kizuna AI’s YouTube music program “VMZ.” They have made appearances together, but this will be their first time collaborating on a music track together.

More details of the music production team will be announced soon.

Kizuna AI and KAF collaboration “Ai to Hana” will be released on Wednesday, September 23rd.

Pre-order from BOOTH will start on August 17th.

Kizuna AI x KAF collaboration single “AI to Hana” consists of a song composed, written, and arranged by Enon Kawatani called “LOVESHII.” The track “Karisome” is produced by the music unit “ORESAMA” with Pon as the lyricist and Hideya Kojima as the composer. In addition, there is also Kizuna AI’s music program “VMZ” as a radio program track called “VMZ RADIO” as the 3rd track of the single.

Furthermore, Kizuna AI’s character designer En Morikura drew an illustration for the “-AI edition-” CD, and KAF’s character designer PALOW drew the illustration for the “-KAF edition-” CD.

■KAF

She is like any sixteen-year-old girl living anywhere in Japan, she could be anywhere but is found nowhere. She is a next-generation virtual singer with a rare singing voice discovered through a series of accidents.
In October 2018, as a virtual artist/virtual Instagrammer, she began full-scale activities in the real world, based in the virtual world. Her singing voice and a virtual fusion of music videos and photographs uploaded on social media got attention and followers rapidly increased. She currently has 330,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
In April 2019, KAF made an appearance at “Nico Nico Chokaigi” for “VTuber Fes Japan 2019.” She trended on Twitter for her unique presence. On May 15th KAF released her 1st Digital Exclusive EP titled “Hana to Shinzou.” She had her first movie tie-up track for “Hot Gimmick: Girl Meets Boy” which premiered on June 28th titled “Yoru Furikomu Mae Ni.”
KAF started a crowdfunding project to have her first solo concert in the summer. Her goal was to raise 5 million yen but through her fans support, she eventually raised 40 million yen becoming a big topic of discussion. On August 1st, she fulfilled her goal of having her solo concert at LIQUIDROOM (Ebisu). The concert tickets were all sold out, but many fans were able to enjoy the show through YouTube Live, movie theaters, and for the first time in history, they held a live viewing at a karaoke room. Hashtag #KAFfukaketsu trended #1 on Twitter world ranking.
On September 11, KAF released her first anticipated album “Kansoku” with two different versions, typeα / β.
On December 25, she released a remix version of her first album “Kansoku” with 13 other titled “Kansokuγ.”
On March 23, she reperformed her first solo concert again for exclusive to live streaming, without having actual audiences in the venue at Zepp DiverCity titled “Fukakesu(Sai).” She became a hot topic once again with the hashtag ##KAFfukaketsusai trending in at #1 for Twitter Japan.
In April, her song “Answer” became the ending theme song for TV anime “Black Clover.”
In May, she participated in the IMMERSIVE SONG PROJECT for Immersive Energy Drink “ZONe” creating a collaboration track called “Abnormal.”
In July, KAF and docomo teamed up to hold the “HAYABUSA EXPERIENCE by 3.5D x docomo ONLINE EXHIBITION”, which was inspired by the upcoming 5G era, and released the theme song “Tomadoi Telepathy.” The single consists of 3 remix tracks by Hiiragi Kirai, Orangestar, and Hanyuu Maigo.
KAF sang the grand ending theme for the Netflix original anime “Japan Sinks: 2020” which is available for worldwide streaming starting July 9. On July 22, KAF released her second EP with all tracks being a tie-up called “Hana to Kaito.” Her voice continues to shine with songs created by the new generation Vocaloid P Kanzaki Iori. Standing between the virtual and the real world, she may be the pioneer for the next generation artists.
